ALPHARETTA, Ga.— Students who comprised the first kindergarten class of Cogburn Woods Elementary in 2004 returned to the school as high school graduates for a ‘senior walk.’ The 45 Cambridge graduates walked through their first school with elementary students flanking the recent graduates down the halls.

“Elementary school students look up to high school students as role models,” said Lisa Garosi, Cogburn Woods principal. “The seniors walking our halls today will help motivate and encourage school success in the younger kids.”

The graduating seniors took an emotional trip down memory lane before embarking on their next chapter.

“Seeing the enthusiastic elementary kids reminded me it wasn’t too long ago I was sitting in a Cogburn classroom,” said Cameron Moore, a Cambridge graduate. “I hope our senior walk today inspired the kids to dream big.”

The Cambridge senior walk at Cogburn Woods was an inaugural event with the hope the new tradition continues for years to come.
