MILTON, Ga. — Georgia Department of Transportation officials will be relocating dirt from Crabapple to Houze Road and Hembree Road in Roswell starting 8 P.M. this Friday to 5 A.M. on Monday, April 3.
The dirt stockpile in Milton is located near the intersection of SR 372 Crabapple Road at Crabapple Chase Drive. The contractor will close and detour the intersection in Roswell.
A statement from Milton said, “We regret any inconvenience this may cause, particularly our residents located in Crabapple Crossroads and Braeburn neighborhoods and our neighbors across the street in Crabapple Chase. With multiple road projects that involve a road closure, the goal is to complete the transfer of the stockpile as quickly as possible to minimize the overall impact to all area residents. Thank you for your patience while the GDOT and their contractors work to complete this project. As always, we will work to ensure that additional information is shared with our residents as additional details are provided to us.”
The removal was originally slated for March 24-27 but was delayed due to rain in the forecast.
