MILTON, Ga. — Early voting for the 2017 municipal general and special elections in Fulton County will begin soon.
Those registered to vote will be able to do so Oct. 16-Nov. 3. Early voting will take place weekdays 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. There will be two opportunities to vote early on the weekend: 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28 and from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29.
The early voting polling location in Milton is the Milton Library, located at 855 Mayfield Road.
Regular voting will be held on Election Day Nov. 7. Any runoffs will be held Dec. 5.
The seats of Mayor and District 2, Post 1 are contested for Milton’s City Council. Incumbent Mayor Joe Lockwood will face Laura Rencher for Mayor. The District 2, Post 1 race pits incumbent Bill Lusk against Laura Bentley.
Peyton Jamison will run uncontested for District 1, Post 1 while incumbent Joe Longoria will run uncontested for District 3, Post 1.
